Welcome to the Credential Services Office

 

The Credentials Services Office in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education is the best place to start your career as a teacher. As the central administrative unit and office of record for all students working on their credentials, the staff of this office can assist you in everything from deciding what program to take, to being sure you have the proper prerequisites once you are about to start the program, to clearing your credential. The Credentials Services Office supports the mission of the School to educate scholar practitioners and maintain exemplary programs that serve as models for teaching, research, and service. Simply put, we help make great teachers.

 


The Gevirtz School offers the following credential programs:

  • Multiple Subject (Elementary Education): program information, application handbook
  • Single Subject (Secondary Education): program information, application handbook
  • Moderate/Severe Education Specialist, Level 1 and 2 (Special Education): program information, application handbook
  • Pupil Personnel Services: School Psychology: program information & application handbook

 

 

Advisors are available by appointment or on a walk-in basis and offer regular Information Meetings. Advisors will provide personalized advice on department and state certification requirements. The Credentials Services Office looks forward to meeting candidates and potential candidates and assisting them throughout their academic career.
